1.  Library subscription databases differ from the raw world wide web in that the databases generally carry articles that have previously been printed in hard media and critiqued by specialists in each field.  The web generally has frequently updated information that can come from anyone, greatly reducing its reliability.

2.  A bibliography is an alphabetically arranged list of sources you may or will use in your paper.  An annotated bibliography is the same type of list with the addition of specific comments or 'annotations' that can describe the source, tie the source to your research, or provide some interesting insight to the source.  An annotated bibliography can help a writer remember exactly why he wanted to use the source in the first place, maximizing writing time.

3.  List of some characteristics of credibility:
- Is the source listed under a reputable domain?
- Is the online source duplicated in print?
- Is the source accessed by a large number of people?
- Is the source current?
- Is the source concurrent with your own moral/ethical values?

4.  Creating a research plan to guide research is important in staying focused and getting the most out of the research time you have, much like outlining a paper before writing.

5.  "...plagiarism occurs when a writer deliberately uses someone else's language, ideas, or other original material without acknowledging its source.  By taking notes as it describes in Essentials of Argument, and by quoting work borrowed by other authors, one can easily avoid plagiarism.
